Required content
The following content is required on all VCU sites, in order to provide consistent methods for visitors to contact the respective department and to notify visitors that the site is kept up to date.
Required links
All pages within a site must contain a link back to the organization's homepage. All pages must also include a link to the VCU homepage within the signature block. (See below.)
Signature/footer block
All pages must contain a signature (or footer) block with the following information:
- A link to the VCU homepage with "Virginia Commonwealth University" spelled out for the link text
- A link to the website of the parent organization for the department (if applicable)
- Contact information for the organization or unit responsible for maintaining and updating the site
- The street address *
- The U.S. mailing address (if different from street address) *
- A phone number *
- An email address *
- A date the site was last revised or reviewed or an expiration date for content
* Contact information can be placed within the signature block or on a separate "Contact Us" page that is linked from the signature block.
Review or update your site annually
Review your site annually and make updates as necessary. When your site has been reviewed or updated, note the most recent reviewed or updated date within your signature block, as mentioned above. Contact information and the organization homepage must be reviewed by July 1 of the current year.
